I want to go on record and say, I called IT! I’ve never felt more compelled to carry a niche designer brand than ever before, and dare I say, it’s Instagram’s fault. There is something oddly weird about purchasing something and seeing thousands of renditions of that item. I’M SICK OF IT.

Nowadays, you have three weeks before the item loses its life cycle. It loses all the charm you bought it for, and frankly, you can’t stand looking at it. Also, what are these ridiculous price points for luxury goods? I mean, I love a good designer leather bag like the next girl, but baby… these price jumps are steeeep. Pharrell Williams’ $1 million Louis Vuitton bag is so egregious it makes my skin crawl. The world is changing, people’s views are changing, and bags with ridiculous price tags are becoming less sought after. The extreme luxury era, in a way, is losing its allure.

“Now, don’t get us wrong; we’re not calling for a recall of your favourite brands. Far from it, we’re advocating for a wardrobe that can stand the test of time, including beloved designers. Instead of chasing what’s hot, let’s focus on longevity. What can you get that you’ll love beyond three months? What can you acquire that you’ll reach for time and time again?
