For the most part, the pandemic has definitely shifted our attitudes towards our living spaces as it relates to comfortability. With more time spent at home, it was inevitable we would take on mini home projects whether it be renovations, redecorating our bedrooms or even creating home offices. These major changes can be costly and there are other ways to elevate your living experience without breaking the bank. Here at LP it’s the little things that make all the difference, look no further see below for five of our recommendations!

1. Coffee Table Books

Coffee table books are great way to add some color and personality into a living space. Here are our top picks!

2. Candles and Room Fragrance

Candles not only improve your mood, but they help add a little je ne sai quoi on top of a coffee book, table or countertop. We recommend always starting with the smaller size, its cost effective and allows you to feel out what kind of scents you prefer in your space. See below for our top picks!

3. Decorative Objects

Decorative objects are the easiest way to revamp any room, whether it be a standing mirror, eye catching vase or even some textured throw pillows it creates a statement with minimal effort.

4. Hand Soaps and Lotion

As silly as it may sound, hand soaps are a great accessory to add a bit of flare in your kitchen and bathroom. To some, soap is just soap but to us we prefer to recreate the joys of being in a spa at home, hand soaps are the way to go. To save a coin, skip the set and just purchase the soap its just as chic alone on a bare space.

5. Tableware

Depending on which way to look at it, some people might find expensive tableware to be absurd. However, if you really think about it tableware is a great investment; you can really get the most cost per use compared to a dress or fragrance at the same cost. A beautifully pattern dessert or dinner plate shouldn’t be shelved away only for guests but, rather should be used daily. Picture your morning omelette or avocado toast bedded on a hand painted Ginori 1735 or La Double J dessert plate, or even a cup of coffee in a cute mug… it’s a creates a feel good moment. To cut costs, try a minimal inclined approach by purchasing items in sets of two. Don’t worry, we’ve included some affordable options that provide the same feeling, take a look.
